Self- Reflection

I would rate myself a 5. I completed everything on the agenda. I finished my project and my survey. I have already tested 2 6th graders, I just need one more. After that I can analyze my results to see how well my project was. I can evaluate how well I did and how I can do better.

Overall, I was not that satisfied with my project. To be honest, I'm not that fond of my book. It's too childish. If I could re do everything, I would change the website I used. Instead, I would have used a cartoon generator, such as xtranormal. Although I did not enjoy my project myself, the results were satisfying. I clearly explained the Design Cycle through my pop up book. Also, I included examples of how you can use the Design Cycle in real life. I admit my project was not entertaining, but it was very informational. It would have been interesting to a kindergartner, but not for a 6th grader. By observing the 6th graders while viewing my story, I was able to tell that they were bored and did not enjoy it. At first I was disappointed, but then I saw the results. They completely understood the Design Cycle just by reading my pop up book. I was amazed. My project would have been better if I had used a different website, but I’m still content with my results.

Evaluate

1. How can my learning serve my community?
My learning can help serve my community by spreading my knowledge. I can tell others what I have learned, and help them in anything they need.
2. How can your future projects become better?
My future projects can become better by spending more time on them. For this project, I didn't spend as much time as I should have. I will thoroughly think my projects through next time, to make sure they're perfect.
3. What have you learned about yourself and what you will continue to do or not do and why?
I've learned that I procrastinate..A LOT. Unfortunately, I try to leave everything I need to do later; I push everything aside. Next time, however, I will try to get everything done and not waste any time.
4. How do you feel about your final product? What would you rate yourself on the Rubric scale of 1-6 for each part of the Assessment Criterion?
I feel uncertain about my project. I mean yes I give myself a 5, but it's too childish. I clearly explain all of the steps in the Design Cycle, and I give examples. The only thing that I'm uncomfortable with is the fact that it's real little kiddish.
5. What would you do differently in regards to your planning and execution of your plan?
Next time, I will actually follow what I have planned out. Instead of just saying what I'm going to do, I will actually do it on the day I said I would. If I do this, I won't have to cram everything in the day it's due.

Create

My Pop Up Book

Evaluate

Today I didn't do anything because I already finished everything over the weekend. I'm sort of satisfied with what I made. Just by looking at the characters, you can tell it's more for kids. All I did was create the link to my pop up book so others can see it. To be honest, I'm not that fond of my book. It's too childish. If I could re do everything, I would change the website I used. Instead, I would have used a cartoon generator, such as xtranormal. I would give myself a 5, because I'm just about done. I still need to create the survey though. That's what is holding me back from giving myself a 6.
